My name is Cindy Ngar and I’m the Owner/CEO of Cindy’s Little Cakery and Flutterby Designs by Cindy LLC.

 

My love for the arts blossomed at a very young age. I used my hands and any medium I had available to express everything my soul wanted to share to the world. I created fantasy worlds that became a safe place to pour my emotions into that my young mind could not yet articulate. I learned to take the adversities in life and shape them into lessons that would catapult me into fearlessly dreaming big.

 

What began as a simple hobby quickly evolved into a deep passion and a rewarding career. In 2009, fresh out of high school, I found myself drawn into the world of cake design. Though uncertain of my future, I took a leap of faith, trusting that as long as creation was part of the journey, I would be okay. Now, 15 years later, my love for the craft remains as strong as ever, reminiscent of the excitement I felt on my first day of culinary school.

 

My career has taught me that while you can never predict the currents of the sea or the direction of the wind, you can always adjust your sails to reach your destination. The countless connections I’ve made and the life lessons I’ve learned along the way are incredibly special to me, and I’m deeply grateful for each one, as they’ve shaped me into the person I am today. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that, despite our differences, people from all walks of life come together to celebrate love, food, and—most importantly—connection. I’m proud to be part of these moments and hope to inspire others through my edible art and my mission to show that true strength lies in embracing the magic within us all. My goal is to leave a legacy that makes the world a better place for future generations. I want my story to serve as a testament to dreamers everywhere, proving that perseverance, creativity, and belief are important values that can turn even the most impossible dreams into reality. One of the most important things I’ve discovered is that, despite our differences, people from all walks of life come together to celebrate love, food, and most importantly, connection.

 

Competing on Netflix’s Baking Impossible revealed to me that I am capable of far more than I ever imagined. While baking will always be at the heart of my journey, I am now embarking on an exciting new adventure, creating works of art that extend beyond cake.
